Online Learning at U of T

Celebrating CTSI’s 10th anniversary with a countdown of teaching and learning initiatives and partnerships at U of T.

There is more to online learning than simply putting a course or resources online. CTSI has collaborated with a number of groups, divisions, and individuals to provide guidance and pedagogical support for learning that occurs outside the physical classroom. Whether is it an entirely online class or a course with online components, CTSI supports faculty, graduate students and educational developers in their work.

• CTSI, in particular the Academic and Collaborative Technologies (ACT) Support team, works with ITS Online Learning Strategies (OLS) on a number of initiatives, including projects funded by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development and eCampusOntario, and they support the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) at U of T, both in progress and in-development. • The OLS team also regularly contributes to CTSI programming, like the Course Design Day: Finding the Right “Mix” for Engaging Your Learners that explores the process of implementing hybrid learning into courses.
