As Manager, Teaching, Learning & Technology, Tamara leads a team of faculty liaisons responsible for supporting instructors using U of T’s academic and collaborative services, including Quercus (our learning management engine), Lecture Capture and Webcasting, Microsoft Live/O365 collaboration suites, and plagiarism detection software, among others. Support for these solutions includes the development and coordination of resources and training, as well as outreach and educational programming.

Tamara has worked at U of T in a number of capacities, most recently as the Coordinator of the Instructional Technology Innovation Fund. Prior to her role as ITIF Coordinator, Tamara was the Manager of Instructional Design and Academic Technology in the Office of Postgraduate Medical Education in the Faculty of Medicine and worked with Information Technology Services to help initiate the Cyber Security Education and Awareness Program. Tamara has also held roles in the Discovery Commons, OISE, and the University’s Assistive Technology Resource Centre, as well as serving as the Online Services Manager for the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario.

Tamara is a certified teacher (BEd from OISE), and holds a Master of Science (from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health). She is currently pursuing her PhD in the Faculty of Information, where she is researching the intersection of technology, communications, and behavior in workplace-based training environments.
