As the Faculty Liaison Coordinator, Graduate Student Development and TA Training, Cristina provides pedagogical support to TAs and graduate student Course Instructors who want to integrate effective educational approaches into their teaching. She works with the team of TATP graduate student peer trainers to design, develop and assess curriculum and training materials for workshops and e-learning related to teaching at the University of Toronto. Supporting faculty advancement, Cristina also works with the CTSI team to support course design, teaching dossier reviews for promotion, and various e-learning initiatives.

Cristina has taught at the University of Toronto and Seneca College as a teaching assistant and Course Instructor, and has an expertise in writing development and the effective support of English Language Learners. She worked at the School of Graduate Studies, designing and leading workshops and developing resources, and with the TATP as a trainer and the Microteaching Coordinator. Her commitment to equity and inclusion will be important for her work in TATP and CTSI, as will her knowledge of and experience with online learning environments. Among numerous scholarships and awards, she has won the Outstanding Teaching Assistant award in the Department of English and also won First Prize in the 3MT (3-Minute Thesis) competition in 2016.
