The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) engages instructors in reflective and scholarly practices and extends the knowledge base in the field. SoTL scholars disseminate their research findings through, for example, academic publications and various other channels. In the video below, Shauna Brail, Associate Professor, Teaching Stream, reflects on her research quest to understand more about her teaching and her students’ learning. Shauna offers insights into key elements of the research process from narrowing her research question to ‘going public’ with her findings.
