The Quercus academic toolbox, powered by the Canvas software from Instructure, offers an advanced content design, a variety of student communication tools, easy-to-use course administration features and a mobile application for access to a number of key functions from a phone or tablet. Through a number of built-in tools and effective integration of other educational technologies, this powerful “app store” platform allows for greater pedagogical flexibility and engagement. Licensed Software Office
The Licensed Software Office negotiates and administers software license agreements with many vendors in order to decrease overall software costs to the University.  Faculty, staff and students may purchase software which includes the following applications: communications software; compilers and programming languages; database systems; geographical information systems; hardware packages; integrated desktop packages; LAN systems; mathematical, statistical and scientific packages; operating systems; parallel programming systems; plotting packages; text research; virus protection software; visualization packages; and page layout packages.

AUDIO-VISUAL SUPPORT
Instructors wishing to use audio-visual equipment in the classroom (e.g., data projectors, video, film, audio) should speak to their departments. Some divisions have in-house equipment and technicians that may be utilized; others may need to make arrangements with on-campus service providers.  Please note: some classrooms on campus have their own permanent dedicated audio-visual equipment.  If you have specific technological requirements you should speak with your department/division before the start of your course.

CROWDMARK
Crowdmark is a collaborative online grading and analytics platform available over the Internet. Crowdmark workflow provides efficiency gains in exam administration, grading, data recording and analysis, returning exams and handling regrade requests, and data visualizations of student performance. The University of Toronto currently has an agreement with Crowdmark that makes the tool available via Quercus. Please visit the Crowdmark page for more information.
